Let's Make America Great Again!!

What a relief to wake up this morning and find that everything is going to be perfect now. America is finally going to be great again! Just like in the '50s and '60s. I lived through those decades but lost my rose-colored glasses somewhere on the corner of Haight & Ashbury. Now where did I put those blueprints of Grandma's bomb shelter....

  1. Sorry. Can't. Hurts. Too. Much.

  2. You got to smoke a lot of left handed cigarettes if you want to truly believe.
Oh well, the world will turn a little different. I hope all these people who bought the package don't get buyer's remorse.

    1. I hope I am wrong in my fears for the future generations of our daughters. I thought things had changed. A very close (young) friend, after first appealing to higher-ups without success, sued her male supervisor for sexual harassment a couple of years ago and won. I guess she won. She lost her job and he was promoted! She did the right thing but said if she had it to do over, she wouldn't do it. So sad. It reminded me of the workplace of the 50s, 60s and 70s.

  3. This has been my favorite video from this election. All people have to do is watch the first season of Mad Men and they'll see just how "great" things were in the mid-1900s. Watching the early episodes of that show reminded me how far women have come.

  4. I'm just afraid we've taken a giant leap back. This is one time when I truly hope that I am wrong. We'll just have to hope for the best. Mad Men pretty much showed it as it was (and maybe still is?).
